Everton players will be taking to the pitch for the first time under David Moyes on Wednesday night.

Fans will be eager to see how Moyes will set out his side upon his return to Goodison Park after being appointed over the weekend.

Sean Dyche has finally spoken about his Everton sacking on Wednesday just hours out from their game against Aston Villa.

The 53-year-old’s exit will be viewed by a number of Everton players as an opportunity to finally show the fans what they are capable of.

There are specific players keen to impress under Moyes and there is one who the 60-year-old has seemingly already made a decision on.

David Moyes to give Beto Everton opportunity

Everton are looking to sign a new forward this month with their attacking output leaving a lot to be desired so far.

Moyes will be hoping his arrival can turn around their form which has them as the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League this season.

And according to TeamTalk, Moyes has already identified Beto as a player he would like to see flourish under his guidance.

Beto has received a lot of interest from Italy in the January window with his lack of game time under Dyche pushing him closer to the exit.

A lack of regular minutes behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not helped the Portuguese striker’s chances of making a regular impact in the starting XI.

Dyche was even open to selling Beto this month with Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti returning from their injuries late last year.

However, a fresh face in the dugout may just offer the 26-year-old with the fresh start he so desperately needed on Merseyside.

Everton cannot rely on Dominic Calvert-Lewin

For now, Everton need to simply pull away from the bottom three and retain their top-flight status for next season.

Their biggest issue this season has been goals, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is failing to sign a new contract amongst their struggles.

Beto started against Peterborough United last week and looked sharp, but whether he starts against Villa is another question.

His former coach Richard Pessoa described Beto as ‘hard-working’ in a discussion with Sky Sports, but he needs regular minutes to show his value.

Moyes has already warned Calvert-Lewin and in Beto, he potentially has a player raring to go in his starting XI if given the opportunity.
