David Moyes has received several messages from former players but this one will really touch Everton fans’ hearts.

Moyes had support from his former Everton players since returning to Everton as manager after 11 and a half years.

It’s a plan for Moyes now to replicate the success he had with the Toffees in his first spell at Goodison Park.

Now’s a time to settle in for the manager before Everton’s meeting with Aston Villa on Wednesday night as Moyes already held conversations with Jesper Lindstrom.

It’s showing he’s taking no time at all to get stuck in, something that this former player will know all too well about.

Tim Cahill sends three words to David Moyes upon Everton return

Moyes has sent a warning to Everton players as well as already conversing with them, as the Scotsman is trying to make an impression on players who badly need it.

It seems to be a man-management skill he’s adopted throughout his career and it had a great impact on his former players who’ve shown their support.

Everton favourite, Tim Cahill, is the latest to share his message to Moyes about what optimises Moyes’ connection with the club.

Cahill attached a picture of the two together at Everton as well as a three-worded caption saying: “Welcome home boss”

Interestingly, Cahill was listed as his best ever buy back in 2011 (Mirror).

Moyes will need attitude’s like Cahill in the Everton dressing room

The reason Everton fans adore the Australian is due to his respectable attitude on and off the pitch.

It’s an element that the current Toffees squad could learn after Everton stars ‘sneered’ at Sean Dyche’s principles.

Moyes will no doubt want to drill into the players from day one how important it is to maintain a healthy working relationship, something Dyche lacked.

Cahill has a stature at Everton that the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin would want to live up to as Moyes is hoping to give Calvert-Lewin confidence to do just that.

Cahill struggled with penalties at Everton, but even still he took on everything that was presented his way, and Moyes should drill that message into the players.
