The pressure is mounting on Sean Dyche at Everton after another defeat on the weekend.

Everton have an opportunity this weekend to regain some confidence with an FA Cup tie against League One outfit Peterborough United.

Sean Dyche has been offered an opportunity by the Friedkins to turn around their poor form from the first half of the season.

However, if results are to worsen then it could lead to a decision needing to be made by The Friedkin Group.

Everton were interested in hiring Graham Potter as their potential Dyche replacement, but the 49-year-old is now West Ham-bound.

There is another option for the Toffees with one possible option believed to be waiting to receive the call.

David Moyes keen to replace Sean Dyche at Everton

A lot of Everton fans are wanting to see David Moyes appointed as the next manager on Merseyside.

According to TeamTalk, Moyes would be keen to replace Dyche and make his return to Goodison Park.

The Friedkin Group are eyeing Moyes as a managerial target to possibly come in and replace the 53-year-old who is currently enduring his struggles.

The Scotsman is not the only manager to be discussed, though.

Sir Gareth Southgate is being assessed by Everton as an option to come in with Dyche’s future at the club up in the air.

David Moyes did turn down Farhad Moshiri in 2021

Moyes did recently play down a return to management, but it seems those close to the former Everton manager think otherwise.

But he did have the opportunity to return to Goodison Park back in 2021 before he joined West Ham.

However, according to The Times, Moyes did reject Farhad Moshiri with previous offers from the Blues eventually going cold.

Things may be different this time around with the Friedkins offering Everton a new dawn ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore Dock in the summer.

And Moyes certainly impressed during his latest stint with the Hammers as James Ward-Prowse praised him following their time together at the London Stadium.

“I think he’s done an incredible job. All I can say from this season is that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with him,” he told BBC Sport.
