Tottenham bid for Everton target Richard Rios
Over the summer transfer window, Everton showed a keen interest in midfielder Richard Rios but Palmeiras weren’t overly keen to sell.
According to Arena Napoli, Tottenham have now made their move to sign the 24-year-old from the Brazilian outfit.
Having stayed in Brazil over the summer, the midfielder still has over three years remaining on his current deal.
But the interest from the Premier League is clear with Spurs joining the party.
The Friedkin Group have already targeted a new midfielder and forward for this month’s transfer window.
Considering talks are now underway between Everton and Aston Villa for Jaden Philogene, it seems the new owners are not looking to hang about.

Richard Rios may not offer Everton goals from midfield
According to Caught Offside, Everton were still showing an interest in Rios ahead of the January transfer window.
However, the holding midfielder may not provide them with the creativity which the Blues may be looking for.
Everton have been criticised for their lack of attacking intent having failed to land a single shot on target against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Rios has been praised as ‘phenomenal’ by Concept Scouting on social media, but he is not a midfielder who will provide goals on a regular basis.
Clearly, the midfielder has a good strike on him, but he did provide only three goals last season in the league for Palmeiras.
