Everton need to find a source of goals this month with the January transfer window offering them the perfect opportunity to address their issues.
Sean Dyche’s side are really struggling in front of goal with on Southampton having scored fewer than Everton in the Premier League.
The lack of goals has seen Dyche come under real criticism for Everton’s attacking issues as fans grow frustrated by their ongoing problem.
Given their struggles, the 53-year-old will be hoping to see some new faces come through the doors at Finch Farm this month.
And there is one player which director of football Kevin Thelwell is personally leading the Everton charge for.

Kevin Thelwell wants to land Jaden Philogene for Everton
With attacking reinforcements needed, Everton are in talks to sign Aston Villa’s Jaden Philogene in a permanent deal.
Philogene only joined Unai Emery’s side for £20m in the summer, but a lack of minutes has seen the forward eye a new opportunity.
According to journalist Harry Watkinson, the Everton chief, Thelwell, is really pushing for the signature of the 22-year-old winger.
‘Thelwell massively keen on Philogene so no surprise to see Everton come in for him again,’ wrote the journalist on X.
Everton did try to sign Philogene last summer before he made the move to Villa from Hull City.
But it is a work which has not worked out for the 22-year-old as he has started just a mere two games in the Premier League

The Friedkin Group backing Kevin Thelwell
Ahead of the takeover, there was serious speculation surrounding the future of Thelwell on Merseyside.
However, The Friedkin Group are set to back Thelwell in the January transfer market as they aim to provide the club with some stability.
Philogene could prove a smart buy for Thelwell having been hailed by his previous manager Liam Rosenior during their time together at Hull.
“Ridiculous. His ability is something we missed for a long time. He’s only going to get better with the more games he plays,” Rosenior said earlier this year.
Dyche has been criticised for not using his January signings, which may not reflect too well on Thelwell.
But it seems as if the new owners are trusting the director of football’s judgement for, at least, this month as his contract runs out in the summer.
