Everton are looking to finish the transfer window strongly, and the club are still hopeful of landing one forward target.
David Moyes has enjoyed a brilliant past few weeks at the club since arriving as Sean Dyche’s successor.
But the Scot knows he needs additions to ensure Everton don’t get sucked into a relegation battle.
Moyes has had a brilliant impact so far, but the feeling is that Everton need a couple of players to push up the table. Alan Shearer recently urged Everton to make two signings to avoid getting into trouble at the end of the season.
Charly Alcaraz is set to sign for Everton after a deal was agreed for him to join from Flamengo.
But Everton also want to bring in a forward player, and Timothy Weah is a player who’s been linked with the club.
Everton still pushing to sign Timothy Weah as update on Juventus stance shared

According to the very reliable Guardian journalist Ed Aarons earlier today, Everton are one of three clubs looking to sign Weah before tomorrow night’s deadline.
Fulham are also keen, as are RB Leipzig of the Bundesliga.
He said: “Understand that Everton, Fulham and RB Leipzig are interested in signing Timothy Weah from Juventus but the USA forward is unlikely to be allowed to leave Juventus.”
So far this season, Weah – who has already won eight trophies at club level – has scored five goals and made five assists.
It was claimed earlier in the window that Juventus weren’t going to sell Weah amid interest from Everton.
Ernest Nuamah has also been linked with Everton, while his Lyon teammate Rayan Cherki has also been mentioned as a possible incoming.
Everton’s need for a forward has lessened after Moyes’ arrival
So Everton now have just over 24 hours left to get players in, but the need for a new forward has lessened recently.
So far, Everton have scored eight goals in the Premier League under Moyes in just four games. In 19 games under Dyche, Everton scored 15.

There has been a big improvement in the final third, so it would not be so disastrous if Everton didn’t actually bring someone in.
That said, it could be a gamble for Everton to put their faith in their existing options and most fans would probably feel more comfortable if someone like Weah or Nuamah did come in to add some extra firepower.
