Everton fans finally have something to cheer about again as the club have been put back on the right tracks by The Friedkin Group.

Friday marked the first anniversary since the club was taken over by The Friedkin Group and so much has changed in that space of time.

David Moyes marked the first real change on Merseyside as he was brought in to replace Sean Dyche in the dugout at Goodison Park.

And then Everton moved into their state-of-the-art new home, which has helped to take the club to a new level financially.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has opened new financial doors as Everton are prepared for a £63m revenue increase at the end of the financial year.

Everton excited for future under The Friedkin Group

It is almost hard to believe that a full year has already flown by and Everton fans are yet to even see Dan Friedkin on Merseyside.

Despite this, Moyes has been so impressed with the Friedkins and the way they have gone about their business.

Taking to social media, Everton shared a post marking the anniversary of the takeover as they prepare for a promising future under the Americans.

‘One year since a new chapter began. It’s been 12 months since The Friedkin Group confirmed their takeover of the Club – a year of new beginnings, clear improvements on the pitch and excitement for what’s ahead for our future,’ read the statement.

‘Thank you for being with us every step of the way, Blues!’

The Friedkins are ready to invest in Goodison Park as the Hill Dickinson has now opened its doors and is already creating serious levels of revenue.

Although they may only have been in situ for 366 days now, the Friedkins have certainly offered a lot of optimism for what could be yet to come on Merseyside for the Blues.

Everton have huge plans for the future

Addressing the fans ahead of the festive period, Angus Kinnear has shared Everton’s January transfer plans.

Everton are not going to be making any desperate moves next month, but they are keen to add players if they fit the bill.

What position do Everton need to strengthen in most, right-back or striker?

As a result of the financial improvements at the club, Everton no longer hold FFP concerns, which will provide them greater freedom in the transfer windows.

Moyes wants Everton to target European qualification this season and that will require some further investment.

However, this is a smarter Everton under the Friedkins and they will not be taking any unnecessary risks in the market.
