Everton are expected to sign a right-winger this summer transfer window.
David Moyes has made a winger a top priority ahead of Everton’s pre-season tour in the United States of America later this month.
Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom’s departures have left a void on the flank, so Moyes has drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace them.
Tom Fellows is on Everton’s radar, as is Omari Hutchinson, however, it’s Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo who is emerging as the leading target.
In fact, the Toffees are now considering a bid for Kubo and fans have been reacting to that transfer development on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Everton fans react to Takefusa Kubo development
Everton fans are really excited about the prospect of signing Kubo this summer transfer window, with the Japan international keen on a move.
“What a signing this could be,” @efcforeever posted.
@fiona_latham1 commented: “Literally just done a post about him being my main target. What a signing it could be.”
“Kubo is the standout target for me… great player, tricky, fast, can score goals. Do it please Everton,” @fiona_latham1 explained.
@muzzymint1971 added: “They need to get a bid in sharpish he looks absolute quality.”
“Kubo away jersey immediately,” @PESBlAN said.
@EVERYTHING60663 noted: “We land Kubo, we have a baller.”
Kubo was tipped to replace Mohamed Salah
Liverpool midfielder Endo previously admitted that Kubo is good enough to replace Mohamed Salah, when his future was in doubt last season.
“The search for a replacement for Mohamed Salah has begun, so this is becoming a real area for Liverpool to strengthen,” the Japan international said.
“I think the player who can replace him, in the national team, would be Kubo.”
Mallorca CEO Maheta Molango, who had Kubo on a loan deal during the 2019/20, has also waxed lyrical about the 24-year-old in the past.
“I was very, very impressed by Kubo when I met him. He’s super humble, super down to earth. It’s not easy to keep your feet on the ground when you’ve been a superstar since you were 10.
“Kubo is very focused, very professional. That’s also down to his family, they’re very humble and hard-working. His talent is obvious, but the reason why he will one day be a football superstar is his head.
“He sees things that other people don’t see, the ability to see a pass and pick a long ball. His intelligence is outstanding. He is very skilled technically but also very brave, he’s not scared of the ball and of taking on responsibility.
“He’s a natural leader and he’s comfortable with the pressure. He has the ingredients to one day be a superstar.”
