The January transfer window is finally upon us and Everton are expected to make some additions.
The Toffees have just been taken over by the Friedkin Group and are set for their first cash injection this winter.
For the last three years, Everton have been pretty restricted in the market with Farhad Moshiri’s careless spending during his early tenure putting them into Financial Fair Play issues.
They are still under some restrictions and may have to offload players in order to bring some in. Beto has been linked with an exit from Goodison Park.
Everton are believed to be looking at Brighton striker Evan Ferguson and a winger is also on their transfer shortlist.
With that said, it’s just emerged that they have submitted a loan proposal for a wide player on the continent.

Everton submit loan bid to sign Yunus Akgun
Everton have been linked to Galatasaray winger Yunus Akgun in recent weeks and now a fresh development has just come to light.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, The Toffees have now submitted a loan bid to sign Akgun and want a buy option inserted into the deal.
However, it’s understood Galatasaray will not sanction his departure mid-season as they look to win a third consecutive Super Lig title.
The Turkish giants will only consider offers for the Lionel Messi-esque winger in the summer and in fact, they’re hopeful of tying him down to a new contract.
Everton should go back in for Jaden Philogene
Evidently, it looks as though Akgun is unattainable this winter, so Everton should consider going back in for Jaden Philogene instead.
Everton almost signed Jaden Philogene in the summer but the former Hull City loanee instead opted to re-join Aston Villa.
That move hasn’t worked out at all as he’s been reduced to just two league starts, so he could be looking for an exit route this month.
Everton are in need of some added creativity in their forward ranks and Philogene would certainly be a welcome addition.
