Everton are under new ownership in the Friedkin Group, so there’s expected to be more movement than usual in the January transfer window.
The Toffees have just confirmed David Moyes’ return to Goodison Park and it’s immediately brought back the good feeling at the club despite a tough run of results.
Everton are winless in their last five and reside just two points above the relegation zone, so clearly change was needed.

Moyes’ appointment will certainly bring optimism for the future but first and foremost, additions are needed this month in a number of areas.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin being linked to Atalanta, Armando Broja injured and Beto misfiring, a striker has to be the priority.
But there’s also a need for a right-back as Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman near the end of their contracts.
That said, it’s just come to light that Everton could be one of the unnamed Premier League clubs interested in a former England full-back.

Everton could be one of interested parties in Kyle Walker-Peters
According to Sky Sports, Southampton right-back Kyle Walker-Peters is a target for a number of Premier League clubs.
The outlet notes that Leicester City and Brighton are one of the sides keen to sign the former England international, who is out of contract in the summer.
There’s no mention of Everton but given their need for a long-term solution at right-back, it wouldn’t at all be surprising if they were one of the interested parties.
Everton have been linked with Brighton full-back Tariq Lamptey in recent months, so it’s clearly a position the club are actively looking at in the market.
Ivan Juric desperate to keep Walker-Peters
Saints boss Ivan Juric has publically told the media about his desire to keep Walker-Peters and he’s made that clear to the club, too.
As quoted by the Daily Echo, Juric said: “I think Kyle is a really good player and he’s playing really well. I think for the club it’s really important, in my opinion, that he stays here.
“I said what I think about the team to the club and now they will make their moves to see what they can do.”
Generally, players in the last six months of their deal tend to run down contracts so they can get a big payday as a free agent, so it does seem pretty unlikely for Everton to capture his signature this month.
