Everton are already experiencing some issues at right-back ahead of the summer transfer window.

David Moyes has only been back at the club for a matter of months but he has been given the full experience when it comes to injuries.

A lot of work is going to need to be done at Everton over the coming months with considerable quality needed for the move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Thankfully, Everton are being backed with a substantial transfer budget as the Friedkins look to put their stamp on the club.

Moyes has been keen to sign a new full-back since the moment he returned to Merseyside back in January.

And some of his scouts have now been sent to watch one from Serie A ahead of a potential summer swoop.

Everton send scouts to watch Jackson Tchatchoua

Everton are looking to add to their defence this summer among other areas of their squad.

The Toffees are on course to lose two right-backs in Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young at the end of the term, as their contracts come to an end.

According to the front page of Saturday’s TuttoSport, Everton are one of the sides showing an interest in Hellas Verona’s Jackson Tchatchoua.

It is claimed Tchatchoua has met with Torino to discuss a potential switch inside Serie A.

However, the 23-year-old also has the interest of Everton and Marseille with their scouts having been sent to watch him already.

Nathan Patterson’s Everton future also remains uncertain with the Scot struggling for game time on Merseyside.

Tchatchoua has been a regular for Hellas Verona this season, but it is apparent the right-back has a lot of interest ahead of the window opening.

Everton have major issues at right-back

Jake O’Brien has really impressed playing at right-back following Moyes’ return to the club in January.

Going into the game on Saturday away to Fulham, Everton lost O’Brien to an unexpected injury blow.

This saw the 39-year-old Young start for the Toffees against the Cottagers in what is a clear indicator they need some added quality over the summer.

O’Brien may well be a solid option at right-back, but the backup options are a considerable step down for a side which have suffered from a lot of injury problems this season.

Tchatchoua may not provide a massive attacking threat, but he has shown his reliability with 33 league starts this season.
