Everton are leaving it late to make their decisions on the numerous players set to run out of contract.
It has been a dilemma which has been hanging over Everton for a number of months now and the club have made no major breakthrough.
David Moyes is holding Everton contract talks at Finch Farm as the club look to finalise their decisions.
However, there are just a matter of weeks remaining in the season and a number of players are still none the wiser as to where their futures may lie.
Since returning to Merseyside in January, Moyes has been able to steady the ship as the Friedkins get their feet under the table.
Everton will be handed plenty of summer funds by the Friedkins, but the club will have to also secure some new deals.
There is one player who has now issued a public warning alongside Abdoulaye Doucoure as he suggests he has interest from Champions League clubs.

Everton contract warning issued by Joao Virginia
In recent days, Doucoure has sent Everton a contract ultimatum as he awaits their decision with just weeks of the season remaining.
The Mali midfielder has warned the Toffees he will not be waiting much longer for their answer with other proposals on the table.
Similarly, backup goalkeeper Joao Virginia has told Record that he has interest arriving from Portugal ahead of the summer.
Virginia has already spoken about his Everton future and admitted he would like to be playing more football.
But the Portuguese shot-stopper has also said he is happy being an Everton player, which may suggest he is open to staying.
Everton should keep Joao Virginia
If Everton allow most of their out-of-contract players to depart then they are going to be left with a huge task this summer to find replacements.
The Toffees need to add quality to their squad this summer, but they are also faced with addressing squad numbers with all of these contract issues.
Virginia could be open to staying at Everton perhaps if he was offered the opportunity to play in the cup games.
Obviously, Everton face the issue of not wanting to uproot Jordan Pickford out of the starting XI for any game.
Pickford has been praised by Jamie Carragher recently as Everton’s best player this season.
But finding themselves in a position to search for a new backup goalkeeper feels like a problem which Everton could do without.
