Everton are now two weeks into the January transfer window and fans are still waiting on some movement when it comes to incomings.
Concerns must be growing for David Moyes as he is in such desperate need of new signings given the manner in which his squad has been decimated lately.
From the first game of the season, it has been clear which positions could do with strengthening after failing to address every need over the summer.
The Friedkin Group backed Everton in the summer market, but it proved too big a task to scratch every itch for Moyes.
However, the same energy from the summer does not appear to have been carried into Everton’s January window.
But there is now an opportunity opening for the Blues to potentially get one over their former manager, Sean Dyche.

Everton hold talks over Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri
Although it had been suggested that Everton were not expecting to sign a new striker this month, talks are now ongoing on Merseyside.
It does not take a football genius to realise that Everton have not seen a good enough return from Thierno Barry and Beto this season.
In hope of bolstering their options, Florian Plettenberg has now claimed that ‘concrete talks’ have now been held between Everton and Fenerbahce over Youssef En-Nesyri.
How big of a risk is this for Everton? 😫
Scoring goals in Turkey is completely different to the Premier League…
The Turkish giants are believed to be open to either a loan or a permanent deal this month.
En-Nesyri still has over three years remaining on his current deal with Fenerbahce as the Blues look to bring him to Merseyside.
Moyes has suggested the Friedkins are backing Everton financially in the January market, which may surprise some given the slow start experienced.
Goals need to be added before the market shuts and securing En-Nesyri would also land a blow on Dyche.
Everton rivalling Sean Dyche for En-Nesyri
As is the case with most transfers, Everton are going to have to beat some serious competition if they are going to land their target.
It has been suggested by The Athletic that Nottingham Forest also have En-Nesyri on their shortlist this month.
Name your Everton signing out of these strikers… 💥
Have we missed anyone out? 🤔
It is a shortlist that includes a number of other Everton targets, with the likes of Artem Dovbyk also named.
However, Dovbyk is unlikely to move this month following an injury picked up just a matter of days ago.
Having signed Beto and Barry, who are struggling to find the back of the net, it is crucial that Everton nail their next striker signing.
Fans are unlikely to take too kindly to another dud addition in front of goal.
