Everton fans will be hoping for more attacking threat against Nottingham Forest with Tyler Dibling showing a glimpse of what he can bring to the side.

David Moyes was forced into making some changes at the weekend with some unexpected absences from the side.

It was not a game that Everton will want to look back on having failed to beat the side sitting second bottom of the Premier League table.

There were some positives to take, however.

For large parts of the game, Moyes was impressed with Dibling, who was making just his second start in the Premier League this season.

Dibling has had to watch from the sidelines for most of the season given the likes of Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish are ahead of him in the ranks.

What Everton have posted ahead of their trip to the City Ground may speak volumes about their 19-year-old talent.

Everton issue three-word Tyler Dibling message ahead of Forest

It was not just Moyes who liked what he saw on Saturday, with a number of Everton fans praising Dibling for his showing against Burnley.

Considering he has barely played at all this season, the 19-year-old looked a real threat in attacking during the first half, particularly.

On Monday, the club shared a cryptic post which may well suggest that Dibling will remain in the starting XI for the trip to the City Ground.

On social media, Everton posted a video highlights reel of Dibling from the game against the Clarets and captioned it: ‘More to come…’

James Tarkowski has been impressed with Dibling in training back at Finch Farm as the youngster looks to impress his 62-year-old manager.

It has not been the start which Dibling would have hoped for at Everton, but there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel.

Having performed well on Saturday, it will be a big boost for the youngster to see the club supporting him publicly on their social media platforms.

Dibling needs a run in Everton’s starting XI

Still at such a young age, Everton cannot expect much from Dibling if he is going to be pulled in and out of the starting XI.

Former Everton manager Sam Allardyce hailed the signing of Dibling and has been surprised by his lack of minutes.

Fans have even seen Moyes snub Dibling for Dwight McNeil in recent weeks, which will come as a shock to some.

The 62-year-old will be left with a big decision to make if Jack Grealish does return to the side on Tuesday evening against Forest.

If the 30-year-old winger is fit, it will be expected that he returns straight into the starting XI and that then leaves Moyes to decide between Dibling and McNeil.
