The Friedkin Group have made a really good impression since joining Everton last year.
The American investors have wasted no time in restructuring Everton and bringing in some of the best in class.
Manchester United’s highly-rated academy chief Nick Cox is the latest figure set to join Everton after rejecting multiple other clubs and governing bodies.
Cox is widely regarded as one of the best in his field, and United fans are gutted to lose him, so that certainly looks encouraging.
In terms of player recruitment, the Toffees have been active as Villarreal striker Thierno Barry continues to be linked with a move to Merseyside.
Jack Grealish is also on David Moyes’ radar, and if the club want to go a step further and show even more ambition, they should join Chelsea in the race to sign an exceptionally talented forward.

Everton should show serious ambition and join race to sign Joao Pedro
Everton are in desperate need of a forward as Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are due to leave Finch Farm.
Barry is indeed a top target, as is Stuttgart’s towering number nine Nick Woltemade, but if they want to show serious ambition, a move for Joao Pedro should be explored.
Pedro will be allowed to leave Brighton this summer, and already, Chelsea and Newcastle United are queuing up for his signature.
The Brazil international registered a very respectable 17 goal involvements last term and is thought to be available for around £60m.
- 30 appearances
- 10 goals
- 7 assists
Indeed, that would be a substantial outlay for the Friedkins, but Moyes has already been promised a healthy budget, so it could be feasible.
Everton can offer something Chelsea and Newcastle United can’t
Pedro, who was dubbed the ‘new Richarlison’ (per TEAMtalk) when he first broke onto the scene with Watford, is making one key demand this summer.
The 23-year-old will only consider a move away from the Amex if he’s given assurances that he would be the first-choice striker.
Indeed, with Alexander Isak at Newcastle and Liam Delap only just joining Chelsea, those two clubs can’t offer that.
So that really does open up the possibility of a transfer to Everton, who would certainly make him the first name on the teamsheet along with Jarrad Branthwaite and Jordan Pickford.
The prospect of playing at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium, paired with the club’s lofty ambitions, could tempt Pedro to join Moyes’ side.
