David Moyes may want to vamp up interest in a specific Everton target after he caught the eye of many in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Everton fans will be hoping Moyes is making moves behind the scenes on the transfer side of things.
A suggestion of Taiwo Awonyi was shut down by Everton supporters who may want to hear slightly more extravagant names being linked with a move to Goodison Park.
The clock is ticking and the Toffees may not have enough with their current squad even after Moyes has worked miracles with recent results.

A transfer target impressed in the Champions League on Wednesday which may have grabbed the attention of the Everton faithful.

Everton target Christos Tzolis shined in the Champions League vs Manchester City
The Toffees will still be looking to strengthen their attack despite the recent success in results.
Moyes should look no further than Christos Tzolis who is of interest to Everton, and after his display against Man City in the Champions League, they should act quickly.
Tzolis looked bright despite Club Brugge’s 3-1 defeat to City, as some of Europe’s best including the likes of John Stones and Josko Gvardiol, were struggling to contain the Greek forward.
His numbers only tell half the story, as upon the eve of turning 23, Tzolis looked the biggest threat in Brugge’s side.
| Tzolis’ statistics in Man City 3-1 Club Brugge | |
| Minutes played | 70 |
| Accurate passes % | 14/15 (93%) |
| Chances created | 2 |
| Shot accuracy % | 1/2 (50%) |
Moyes would like Everton to sign another forward and Tzolis could be an astute piece of business.

Everton target Tzolis called one of the ‘hottest’ prospects in 2021
The 23-year-old has received high praise, as Tzolis was given a comparison to Wayne Rooney which shows the level he’s at and where his potential lies.
This wouldn’t be the Greek’s first rodeo in the Premier League as Tzolis did endure a period with Norwich City, amassing 14 appearances in the top flight.
Daniel Farke was the Norwich boss at the time and gave the attacker some serious praise.
Speaking in a press conference in 2021, Farke said: “He was worth the money that we spent on him because he’s one of the hottest prospects on the winger position in Europe for his age.
“He has the potential one day to be one of the best wingers in the world because he’s quick, he delivers end product, he can score, he can assist, he can run in behind, he is a great character. This is why many, many clubs in Europe were chasing him.”
Despite his time with the Canaries fading out in 2024, Tzolis has proven Farke’s claim to be right at Brugge, and Moyes should seriously consider the signing.
