Everton’s poor start to the Premier League season continued on Saturday as they failed to defeat fellow strugglers West Ham United.
Whilst a point at the London Stadium certainly isn’t a poor result, it just wasn’t a convincing display at all as Jordan Pickford’s heroics rescued Everton a point.
Sean Dyche’s pragmatic style of play is beginning to infuriate supporters and his persistence to start the out-of-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin is baffling.
As such, Everton fans have called for Dyche to be sacked with their team languishing in 16th place heading into the international break.

TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara shares the same sentiment and has urged Everton to try and appoint one of their relegation rivals’ manager.

Jamie O’Hara says Everton can appoint Gary O’Neil, Kieran McKenna or Thomas Frank
Speaking on talkSPORT (9 November, 5:41pm), former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara urged Everton to replace Dyche with one of three Premier League managers.
“They’re one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, and they are down at the bottom – every season we’re having the same conversation,” O’Hara said.
“Take a risk. Get someone different, try something new. Outside probably the top seven, top eight clubs, Everton can nick everyone else’s manager.
“They can nick Gary O’Neil, they can nick Kieran McKenna – if it’s a good manager you can nick him, it’s Everton. Thomas Frank, you can nick him from Brentford.”
Whilst O’Hara’s point about the size of Everton certainly rings true, it seems unlikely that they’d be able to convince Frank to join from Brentford – who reside in the top half of the Premier League table.
Even getting McKenna would be a hard sell given he has interest from many of the top clubs higher up in the league.
Everton fans want Sebastian Hoeness
A section of the Everton fanbase really want Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeness after it emerged that he has a release clause of around £5.8m in his contract.
Hoeness, who was linked with Manchester United in the summer, guided the Bundesliga club to a runners-up finish last term.
The German plays an attractive brand of football, too, so he’d be a refreshing change to Dyche’s defensive approach.
A telling few weeks await on Merseyside, with the international break usually a deciding period for managers under pressure.
