Everton have made a really poor start to the new Premier League season.

Sean Dyche’s men are currently languishing in 16th place having won just two of their opening 10 league games.

Everton lost to relegation favourites Southampton on the weekend, which has ramped the pressure up on Dyche.

In fact, some Everton fans called for Dyche to be sacked and that has sparked debate about who his replacement could be.

Many tipped David Moyes to return to Goodison Park until the end of the season whilst concerns emerged about whether Graham Potter would be the right man.

Now, a new name has surfaced among supporters and they’re completely sold.

Everton fans want Sebastian Hoeness

Everton fans have now been discussing Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeness as a potential replacement for Dyche after news of his release clause (as per Plettigoal).

@Benjwinst took to X and said Hoeness would be his first choice to take charge at Goodison Park and many agreed with him in the comments.

@leecockcroft1 replied: “100% watched them live play Real Madrid off the park at Bernabau this year, straight after googled who the manager was. Really impressive”

@RuairiCollins agreed: “aha! on this we agree!! He’d be perfect. Let’s see how good a salesman Friedkin is.”

“Great shout I would be all over that too,” @StantonSeoirse added.

“Agreed. Strong choice! Amorim was mine. Sebastian H was one of the ones I mentioned yesterday,” said @DragonFire1059.

@craig_fear is split between two managers: “Ye for me it has to be him or Potter.”

@Tom_efc1 believes Hoeness would accept the Everton job: “I don’t see why he wouldn’t. Huge premier league club going into a beautiful brand new stadium with new owners coming in. I’d be paying the release clause now personally considering how cheap that is.”

Hoeness considered one of Germany most exciting coaches

Hoeness, who celebrated his 42nd birthday in May, is considered ‘one of Germany’s most promising young coaches’, as per the Bundesliga website.

His Stuttgart side finished runners-up to German champions Bayer Leverkusen last season, as they played an expansive brand of football.

They’re languishing in eighth this season but they have had to balance playing in the Champions League – where they picked up a historic win against Juventus in Turin.

If Everton were to appoint him, it’d certainly be regarded as a real coup considering Manchester United were linked with him earlier this year.
