Everton will now be putting the final touches on their summer business in the remaining weeks of the window.

David Moyes demanded nine signings this summer on the back of numerous departures in June as free agents.

Change has certainly unfolded on Merseyside over recent weeks ahead of Everton’s move into the new stadium.

Everton secured the signing of Jack Grealish on a season-long loan earlier this week, but there could be even more additions to follow.

However, there could also be a number of departures on the table at Finch Farm.

Moyes is open to offloading Harrison Armstrong on loan this season, and Beto’s future has also been speculated about recently.

Everton will not sell Beto this summer

Beto has received interest from Italy once again this summer, following speculation earlier in the year before Moyes was appointed.

Again, there have been some reports suggesting Moyes was ready to cash in on the striker, who was signed for £26m, following a recent spat.

According to BBC Sport, these reports of Beto being able to leave following an issue with Moyes are wide of the mark.

‘I’m told suggestions Beto is welcome to leave Everton is untrue. As is claims of any kind of issue with the manager,’ wrote the BBC journalist Giulia Bould on X.

‘The club’s stance is the striker is not for sale and Beto is very much part of the David Moyes’ plans this season.’

Moyes has worked individually with Beto this summer in pre-season, with the pair spotted during footage shared on Everton’s social media platforms.

With Thierno Barry now on Merseyside, the battle for the starting spot is heating up ahead of the game at Elland Road on Monday evening.

What David Moyes recently said about Beto

It has not been the best of pre-seasons for Beto at Everton.

After Beto impressed Moyes in summer training up in Scotland, the striker has struggled to find the back of the net.

Moyes admitted he was disappointed with Beto from what he has seen over the course of their Summer Series in the United States.

“I’ve been a bit disappointed with Beto, and I’ve told him. We’re needing a bit more and he can do more and he has done more,” he said.

Theo Walcott hailed Beto as ‘brilliant’, but Moyes wants to see more from his £26m striker.

It is also worth noting that Beto did not start at the weekend in the friendly at the Hill Dickinson Stadium against AS Roma.

The striker could have a big task on his hands to convince Moyes he should be the starting striker.
