It’s been a rollercoaster of a season at Everton, but nothing will top the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.
Arguably, the greatest game of this season came in February when Everton drew 2-2 with Liverpool.
In what was the last ever derby at Goodison, it certainly didn’t disappoint with James Tarkowski’s dramatic late equaliser.
Abdoulaye Doucoure made the headlines after it was seen that Doucoure mocked Liverpool fans to start a full-time brawl with both sides.
But the Everton midfielder has now revealed that there was a secret incident that took place behind closed doors.

Abdoulaye Doucoure’s hidden chat with Alexis Mac Allister after Everton vs Liverpool
The game will no doubt be talked about for years to come, as it seems to be the most fitting ending for Goodison.
Fans aren’t happy with Goodison’s finale plans, so this could be the game where they see it as their true goodbye to The Grand Old Lady.
It was the perfect game mixed with emotion and a fiery atmosphere, and Doucoure was at the heart of the disagreements between both sides.
But now speaking to the Fozcast, the 32-year-old has revealed what else happened with Alexis Mac Allister after the game.
“After the game, they were saying, ‘Oh, it’s your cup final,'” Doucoure said.
“I saw Mac Allister in the doping room and he was saying ‘you happy now?’ And I said ‘Yeah, of course I’m happy.”
“He was fuming.”
Arne Slot will be raging at what Doucoure said about Everton decision
As mentioned, the game caused plenty of controversy, and the second game of the season didn’t disappoint as well.
Mac Allister was involved heavily in front of the cameras this time around as Tarkowski put in a shocking challenge where he was extremely lucky to avoid a red card.
This annoyed Liverpool boss Arne Slot, but what Doucoure said regarding the first meeting makes for brilliant viewing.
The midfielder who was the key factor in the uproar caused, revealed that Everton still haven’t fined him.
Slot showed his fury during the game and was ultimately fined for his actions, which will make the Liverpool camp still feel sour three months on.
However, there are no complaints for Doucoure, who has somehow avoided his caution.
