Everton seem to have been handed to a fresh lease of life over the last week after their first win under David Moyes.
The victory over Tottenham Hotspur was Everton’s first win in the Premier League this year as it earned them a cushion on the bottom three.
Moyes has been hard at work since returning to Everton with plenty going on behind the scenes at Finch Farm.
In the middle of the winter market, the Scotsman is having to work out his best XI.
Moyes may be familiar with the surroundings at the club, but there are not too many familiar faces.
It seems his methods are going down well with the players in Everton training as they look forward to brighter times on Merseyside.

Idrissa Gueye impressed by David Moyes’ Everton tactics
Speaking to the media on Friday, Moyes said Everton are working on transfers, but there does not seem to be anything imminent.
For now, the Scotsman is having to work with what he has got and it seems he is impressing his players with the feedback being provided.
Following the Spurs victory, Idrissa Gana Gueye has admitted he has already noticed a difference since Sean Dyche’s sacking.
“It’s difficult to change everything because we’ve just worked with him for two weeks now,” said Gueye.
“Tactically, he gives us a lot of information. He wants to play short, play football and to bring the crowd, the fans with us – especially at Goodison. He makes a lot of videos to show us the way he wants us to play.”
Everton fans have been impressed with Gueye this season and have demanded him to be handed a new contract.
And it already seems the Senegal international is liking what he has seen from Moyes so far.
Competition growing for Idrissa Gana Gueye’s spot after injury update
The midfielder has played a huge role in the Everton starting XI this season with 18 of his 20 league appearances coming from the start.
With his contract running out, Gueye has received interest from Qatar ahead of the January window.
Everton will be keen not to lose him this month, but there are players returning to provide competition for his spot in the starting XI.
James Garner is available now and Tim Iroegbunam has returned to Everton training with the pair both capable of uprooting the Senegal international from the XI.
One thing which is certain is this is exactly the type of selection headache Moyes will relish.
