Everton sealed a late point in their final ever Merseyside Derby against Liverpool at Goodison Park.

Having made a perfect start to the game with the opening goal coming through Beto, Everton were unable to add to their lead.

The visitors got themselves back level before sealing the points – against the run of play – in the second half.

David Moyes’ side put in a valiant display, but were unable to find any real quality in the final third with their efforts on goal.

Arne Slot expected a big atmosphere at Goodison, and that is exactly what he got, but he also got late heartbreak thanks to James Tarkowski’s stunning volley to equalise.

And there was one moment where Jarrad Branthwaite was left absolutely furious with one of his Everton teammates.

Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite spotted screaming at Jack Harrison

Ahead of the game, Branthwaite urged his Everton teammates to step up against Liverpool in the final ever Merseyside Derby at Goodison.

For the large part, that was certainly the case with the Toffees providing the league leaders a really difficult evening.

However, there was one moment when Sky Sports reporter Adam Bate spotted an incensed Branthwaite share his anger towards Jack Harrison.

“Branthwaite screaming at Harrison after he was slow to the tackle there,” he said during the first 45 minutes.

“The sub hasn’t really gotten up to speed and the home crowd have taken note.”

Sean Dyche publicly criticised Branthwaite towards the end of his tenure, but the centre-back put on a fine display against the Reds.

The same cannot be said about Harrison who is enduring a real torrid season.

Jack Harrison disappoints again in Merseyside Derby

It turned out to be a night of mixed emotions for the Toffees with the draw also paired with a worrying injury to Iliman Ndiaye.

Moyes thinks Harrison is suffering a confidence blow from his time playing under Sean Dyche.

And that certainly seemed to be the case on Wednesday night, with the winger looking void of any ideas on the pitch.

Harrison wants to earn a permanent Everton contract, but performances like this are not going to do his hopes any favours.
