Jack Grealish has been nothing short of a revelation at Everton, but he has admitted he is still receiving some questions over his move to Merseyside.

Everton have now endured a mixed start to the season, with recent results slightly weighing down what was a positive start to the term.

David Moyes only has to focus on the Premier League for now following their Carabao Cup defeat against Wolves on Tuesday evening.

Having made a number of changes to the starting XI, Moyes was ridiculed for his Everton team selection, which saw Grealish benched.

It was not a decision that paid off as the Blues exited the League Cup against a struggling Wolves.

Having now been on Merseyside for over a month, Grealish has shared exactly what he is telling people about his Everton move.

Jack Grealish’s response to questions over Everton move

Grealish came on from the bench and changed the game, but he was unable to level the proceedings.

However, it was certainly a big decision for the 30-year-old to leave a club of Manchester City’s calibre for Everton.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he has admitted that he does not regret the move in the slightest.

“People were saying to me, ‘what are you doing going to Everton’, and I was like, ‘what do you mean?’. It’s a massive club,” Grealish said.

“I’m at my best when I feel loved. You know I’m quite vulnerable off the pitch and I wanted to go somewhere to just feel the love again, and to just wake up and want to play with a smile on my face again.”

Grealish shone in the Merseyside Derby last weekend despite finding himself on the losing side.

Although Everton have struggled in recent weeks to secure themselves the three points, it is clear that their deal for Grealish is one which will serve both well this season.

Grealish loves playing under David Moyes

Everton teammate Idrissa Gana Gueye has been so impressed with Grealish since he landed at Finch Farm over the summer.

The 30-year-old finally looks back to his best with the World Cup on the horizon next year.

And the winger is giving Moyes his flowers over his return to form, with the Everton boss hailed for letting Grealish play his style of football.

“It’s down to him [Moyes] for giving me that platform to go and play the way I’ve been playing,” said Grealish.

One journalist recently suggested that Moyes needed to tell Grealish to stop overplaying following the game against Aston Villa.

But that does not seem to have happened.

“I don’t mean this in an arrogant way but I do like it when managers say, ‘you’re the footballer, go and do what you want to do’,” Grealish added.

“I’d rather someone just be like, ‘when you get the ball Jack, just go and play’.”
