Everton have been handed a Merlin Rohl injury update that must have David Moyes regretting one summer decision.
As well as two defeats, Everton have been handed some frustrating injury news over the last seven days.
The Everton boss has not had it easy in recent days, with Alan Myers criticising Moyes for his team selection against Wolves on Tuesday.
It would have been expected that Moyes would have liked to hand Merlin Rohl his full Everton debut at Molineux, but he was absent through injury.
Rohl had been impressing during Everton training in the days following his move from SC Freiburg.
On Friday, Moyes was asked the latest on the deadline day signing’s injury latest ahead of the game on Monday against West Ham United.

David Moyes shares Merlin Rohl injury update from Everton
It was claimed that Rohl faced a late fitness test to face Wolves, but he did not make the squad for the trip to Molineux.
Moyes was keen to add to his midfield during the summer after seeing the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure depart.
Speaking to the media from Finch Farm, Moyes admitted that Rohl will not be available for Monday to face the Hammers.
“The two boys [Branthwaite and Rohl] are the two injury problems for me at the moment,” he said.
“We’re just trying to get Merlin back, he’s not back yet. We hoped it would have been a bit quicker but he’s not back amongst it yet.”
Rohl was involved in Everton training late last week, but the injury suffered on the Friday has put him out for over a week.
With the German midfielder out through injury, perhaps Moyes is regretting one exit that he sanctioned on deadline day.
Moyes may regret sanctioning Harrison Armstrong loan exit from Everton
On deadline day, Everton allowed Harrison Armstrong to join Preston North End on loan for the remainder of the season.
Armstrong did impress at Everton over the summer, but they looked to bring in more experienced options to strengthen their side.
Despite this, the Toffees were not prepared to keep Armstrong around with the view to securing him more regular minutes elsewhere.
The injury to Rohl may have provided Armstrong with an opportunity to really impress in the cup game against Wolves.
And had he taken his opportunity, then who knows where Armstrong could have taken his role in the Everton squad under Moyes.
Although James Garner has wowed for Everton this season, another injury in midfield could leave the Blues very short.
