Jacob Murphy has been linked with a move to Everton – and the rumours may have one current Toffees player feeling slightly insecure.

One of those deals was turning Tyrique George’s loan move permanent, which lots of fans have welcomed.
While George probably didn’t play as much as he’d hoped, clearly there has been a feeling that he can make a great impact going forward, and there was a relief that the club did move to sign him permanently.
But days later, Everton have been linked with another winger in Murphy.
And one wonders what Tyler Dibling must think about the rumour.

The links to Murphy have not gone down particularly well with the Everton fans.
Some are looking at this and questioning the ambition, with Murphy 31 and not really a top name in terms of Premier League wingers.
It is interesting to consider what this might now mean for Dibling.

Dibling’s first season at Everton did not go as everyone hoped, with the youngster having warmed the bench for the most part.
He seemingly never gained the trust of Moyes, as fans clamoured to see more of him. In the second half of the campaign, he barely featured at all.
Now Moyes reportedly wants to bring in Murphy, a player 11 years Dibling’s senior.
Murphy is not a player with true star quality or potential, and yet Moyes seems keen to bring him in – and that would be another player in Dibling’s position.
The interest suggests the manager doesn’t have faith to proceed into the new season with Dibling as one of two options (the other being George).
And that must be tricky for the youngster to accept.
Dibling has interest from RB Leipzig
Dibling has been the subject of interest from RB Leipzig recently.
The German side have previously taken Ademola Lookman on loan from Everton before signing him permanently, and perhaps they could sign Dibling.
If Murphy does arrive, it would certainly be very interesting to see what would happen with him.
It would be a major shame if Everton decided to cash in after just one season, given his potential. Hopefully, it would only be a loan move and not a sale.
