Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford sent an honest message to the recruitment team after the 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth last night.
David Moyes‘ side are currently in the United States of America for a pre-season tour, although, their campaign didn’t get off to a great start.
Despite an encouraging first half against Bournemouth, Everton made a number of sloppy errors in the second period to lose the game pretty comfortably, in the end.
Nathan Patterson and Jake O’Brien gave up cheap goals after Philip Billing’s wonderstrike, which Jordan Pickford could do nothing about.
Pickford spoke to the media after the game and didn’t mince his words.

Jordan Pickford urges Everton to make more signings
Pickford gave a candid interview to Toffee TV after the game and admitted that Everton’s injuries and lack of signings are taking a toll on results this pre-season.
“We haven’t got the squad to make it at the minute,” the Everton goalkeeper explained.
“We’re really low on numbers, couple of, obviously injuries, Jarrad and Tarky, the main two centre-halves last season, Keano, his experience, Seamus just getting back to fitness.
“So I think that proves pivotal, really, I think it’s hard for the lads to go for 90 minutes. It is what it is. It’s pre-season.
Pickford added: “I think the manager and the staff and the recruitment team will be working tirelessly to get players in and we need it. We need a competitive squad. We need to push as a whole and we need to be working.”
“You’ve got to have competition throughout the squad. You’ve got to have people fighting for their positions each and every day on the training pitch and performances will tell on matchday.
“Any type of industry you’re in, you need to become competitive.”
Everton are working on two statement signings
Everton are about to sign Adam Aznou, who will become Moyes’ fourth signing of the summer after Carlos Alcaraz, Thierno Barry and Mark Travers.
Aznou is expected to be announced on Monday, with the Bayern Munich left-back undergoing a medical on Sunday.
The Toffees also want to sign Malick Fofana from Lyon, however, the Belgian winger wants to assess his options before committing to his next move.
Fofana is aware that he has interest from Champions League clubs, so that deal is less likely to materialise than Aznou.
Moyes could pivot to Takefuso Kubo, who is valued at around £34m by Real Sociedad.
