Kieran McKenna explains what will happen with Omari Hutchinson after Everton interest

Everton don’t seem to be prepared for the Premier League season ahead, and changes are needed.

It’s difficult to look at the positives right now, but Everton are close to signing Adam Aznou.

The Bayern Munich defender would be Everton’s fourth signing of the summer, and David Moyes seems very happy to be bringing him in.

Much more is needed though, and from an attacking point of view, Omari Hutchinson would be a strong signing for Everton.

Brentford looked close to signing Hutchinson, but with that deal now breaking down, the Toffees are back in the picture, and Hutchinson’s future has had a big explanation.

Omari Hutchinson’s future clear after Everton interest

With there being a clear need for attacking talent in the squad, Everton have already made sure to nail down the number nine position.

It’s all well and good having this sorted, but The Friedkins will know Thierno Barry will need impeccable service to get off on the right foot.

In a dire Ipswich side, Hutchinson was someone who showed real promise and is surely looking at a Premier League return after strong displays.

With Hutchinson set to cost £40m, this quality shows Everton could be getting a bargain despite the large fee, but Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna might have put everything to bed.

Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times, McKenna has put his foot down in terms of what is happening with the 21-year-old this summer.

“Me and Omari talk all the time. We’ve got a lovely relationship, so we talk about everything,” McKenna said.

When asked if Hutchinson’s future is up in the air, the Tractor Boys manager said: “No, there’s nothing.”

“There’s nothing in the air. He’s an Ipswich player, and he’s training well back at camp. Hopefully he’ll be ready to join the group next week. I think he’ll be a really important player this year.”

Everton target Hutchinson has the Pele seal of approval

Coming through academies such as Chelsea and Arsenal, the winger knows what it takes to be at a big club.

His fortunes will surely lie away from Ipswich soon, but McKenna seems certain he will stay at Portman Road this year.

This is a blow to Everton, especially after Pele once praised Hutchinson, proving the 21-year-old has been an intriguing talent from a young age.

£40m seems a bit steep for a player who’s only shown his worth in one Premier League season, and with Moyes getting a stern message from McKenna in the sense that Hutchinson isn’t going anywhere, it seems like the situation is a silver lining.
