Leeds United are looking to steal a march on Everton in the race to sign one of Angus Kinnear’s targets.
David Moyes must be delighted with some of the new faces signed on Merseyside this summer.
Jack Grealish will mark the statement signing made by the Friedkins for Everton, but there have been some other big additions.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall really impressed Everton fans during his debut at the weekend against AS Roma.
However, the 62-year-old manager will be well aware that more players are still needed before the window shuts next month.
Moyes has demanded nine signings this summer, but he now faces losing out on one of them to Monday’s opposition, Leeds.

Leeds United in talks with Everton target James Justin
Everton have shown an interest in James Justin, with Leicester City looking to cash in on the right-back this summer.
The Toffees are still in search of further defensive additions to their squad, but risk losing out on the Leicester man.
According to Ben Jacobs, Leeds are now in ‘advanced talks’ over a potential deal to land Justin.
It has previously been suggested that it could only take £6m to sign Justin from Leicester this summer.
With an openness to sell from the Championship outfit, Everton may have to make their move quickly if they wish to beat the Whites to his signature.
Everton have lost Nathan Patterson to an injury, which has forced Jake O’Brien back out to the right side of the defence.
With other injuries already cropping up, Moyes will surely be looking for some further additions to bolster his squad depth.
Everton need another right-back signing this summer
Seamus Coleman signed a new deal at Everton over the summer, but the level of his involvement is yet to be seen.
Having signed the extension, Moyes admitted Coleman’s role off the pitch is huge this season, which may suggest he is not expected to play that much.
O’Brien, on the other hand, now looks set for another season at right-back, unless a big addition is made there.
Everton added Adam Aznou at left-back, and he is already being thrown into action, but the Blues are now going to have to focus on addressing the other side of the backline.
An injury to O’Brien would be disastrous for Moyes.
