Everton have not had a lot to cheer about so far this season with the Toffees only able to put one point on the board through their five games.

Sean Dyche is facing a serious wave of pressure on the back of the dismal start to the season which is yet to see a single win recorded.

Some Everton fans are already calling for Dyche to be replaced with a real lack of encouragement to be taken from the opening five games.

Things are not looking overly positive on the pitch but there is plenty going on at the club away from it in the meantime.

Crystal Palace pay a visit to Goodison Park on Saturday with the Blues looking to get off the mark in the league with their first win of the season.

What Michael Keane said about The Friedkin Group’s potential Everton takeover

It is now believed The Friedkin Group will be able to secure the Everton takeover potentially by the end of the year.

At the latest, Dan Friedkin could possibly become the new Everton owner by the early stages of next year.

A lot of change could unfold over the coming months with Everton also set to move into their new stadium at the start of next season.

But between now and then, the Toffees are going to need secure their Premier League status after a dreadful start to the season.

And defender Michael Keane has now been speaking about the prospect of the potential change on Merseyside.

“Obviously, there’s the talk of new owners coming in, the new stadium we’re moving into next season, so there’s a lot to look forward to at this Club,” Keane told the Everton website.

“If we can start climbing that league table, we can really start to look forward and start building for what’s to come.”

Everton need to secure Premier League football for the new stadium

The prospect of a new owner and playing in a brand new stadium is obviously going to cause a lot of excitement on Merseyside.

However, the players still have a lot of work to do to make sure they are doing so as a Premier League side in 12 months.

A win on the weekend would be a huge boost for everyone at Everton with just two games remaining until the international break.

Opta has predicted Everton to avoid the drop but by the very skin of their teeth and survival is bigger importance now than ever.
