Everton manager David Moyes is in the market for a new centre-forward this January transfer window.

Thierno Barry and Beto have scored just five Premier League goals between them this season, which just isn’t enough for an Everton side wanting to qualify for Europe.

Everton have looked at Ivan Toney, but the finances attached to that deal could prove to be too big of a stumbling block.

Who would be your dream Everton signing this month? 👀

David Moyes is also interested in Mateus Mane, who is emerging as a breakout Premier League star for Wolves.

Callum Wilson is on Moyes’ radar, too, and now West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo has responded when asked about the 33-year-old future at the London Stadium.

Would YOU take Callum Wilson at Everton? 🤔

Wilson was the matchwinner for West Ham yesterday, as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in North London.

Wilson has been in talks to end his contract with the Hammers amid interest from Everton, Celtic and Leeds United.

Asked about those rumours, Nuno replied: “We are still in the market to bring players and rebalance our squad. Rumours, rumours, rumours. We are doing things properly.

“Every player that is in the building, I give them the day off tomorrow. It is up to us to count on them and support them. They need to help us, they need to help the club.”

Nuno was then pressed further on the subject when the interviewer suggested that West Ham fans won’t want Wilson to leave after his goal.

He simply said: “And rightly so.”

Callum Wilson sounds committed to West Ham United

Wilson spoke to the media after West Ham’s win on Saturday and certainly didn’t sound like a player who’s in talks to rip up his contract.

“We definitely want to build now. I think the Cup game (against Queens Park Rangers) came at a good time last weekend, and having got the result there, that gave us something to work from.

“We’ve had a big game in the league, and come away with the three points, so now we just need to keep doing what we’re doing, and hopefully we can start climbing that league.”

Perhaps there has been a change in heart from both parties over the last 48 hours, so Everton may have to look elsewhere.

The Toffees have consistently been linked Troy Parrott, so that could reappear as an option.
