Sean Dyche makes two changes, £30m star dropped – Everton predicted lineup vs West Ham

It’s a huge relegation six-pointer at the bottom of the Premier League as Everton and West Ham United meet at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Both managers are under pressure and Julen Lopetegui is reportedly facing the sack if the home side fails to win.

Sean Dyche isn’t facing as much scrutiny from the club hierarchy but some supporters believe that the time is now for change.

Everton have won just seven Premier League matches this calendar year and given that they are only four points above the relegation zone, three points is necessary.

The Toffees do have some injury problems to contend with, as well as several players out of form, which could impact selection decisions.

With that, here is the team we predict Everton will start with against West Ham.

Four players are out injured and unavailable for selection for Everton whilst Tim Iroegbunam is a major doubt.

Nathan Patterson has been on the bench in the last few weeks but is still yet to make an appearance after only just returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Jordan Pickford

Jordan Pickford quite simply has to start and will always start unless he is injured or suspended.

He is one of the club’s most important players and would be a lot worse off without him.

Ashley Young

It could be tempting to bring Patterson into the line-up but Ashley Young has been one of the more consistent players this season.

Young has three assists to his name and even at 39, is capable of lasting the full 90.

James Tarkowski

A Dyche trustee and fan favourite. James Tarkowski must play. Always solid at the back and a real leader – a trait that will be desperately needed in the capital this weekend.

Jarrad Branthwaite

Everton’s players were shocked to see Jarrad Branthwaite snubbed from the starting XI for the defeat against Southampton last weekend.

That mistake cannot happen again and Dyche must bring him back in from the start. Branthwaite is the best defender at the club and it would be a waste to leave him out.

Vitaliy Mykolenko

Despite struggling last week, Vitaily Mykolenko retains his place. There is a lack of quality in the left-back position and unless the Everton boss goes to a back three, which I don’t think he will, it’s a dead cert that the Ukraine international starts.

Idrissa Gueye

Idrissa Gueye has been one of the standout performers for Everton in recent weeks and rightfully keeps his place in midfield.

Orel Mangala

Orel Mangala keeps his place this time around. Abdoulaye Doucoure is a welcome return to the Everton side after the midfield struggled last weekend, but he may not be worth the risk.

Jesper Lindstrom

This is a huge chance for Jesper Lindstrom to show what he’s made of and prove his worth to the Everton fans.

Lindstrom will be here in place of Jack Harrison and this is a chance to tie down his place in the XI long term.

Dwight McNeil

Everton’s ability to create chances will rely heavily on the performance of Dwight McNeil.

His long-range shots could come in handy here and should the West Ham ‘keeper drop them, the striker will be ready to pounce.

Iliman Ndiaye

The star of Everton’s season so far, Iliman Ndiaye will need to be at his best again if Everton wants to win.

There had been some talk of him playing in the number 10 role but Dyche confirmed in his press conference that he would prefer to deploy him as a wide man.

Beto

The time has come for Beto to be given the start he deserves. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been somewhat disappointing this season and is leading the Premier League charts for the most offsides.

Beto is by no means the finished article but his work rate and tenacious attitude mean he should be given the chance to prove himself from the start.
