Everton supporters are set to learn the fixtures for the 2025/26 Premier League season in the coming days.

The World Cup is now underway, with the large majority of Everton’s squad sitting with their feet up following the end of the season.

An official announcement from the Premier League on the fixtures for the 2026/27 term will be released on Thursday morning.

Premier League fixture announcement will shame Everton’s pre-season debacle

Everton will play Newcastle United at Murrayfield in August, which is the only pre-season friendly to have been announced thus far.

However, the club is yet to reveal any details of further friendlies being agreed as we enter the middle of June.

The World Cup has likely made this summer’s planning more difficult for clubs, but not having an announcement at this stage of the year is not a good look for the Friedkins.

It must also be mentioned that Roma shared their anger over a lack of pre-season planning from the Friedkins, too.

Everton have a loyal fanbase who will travel to follow the club over land and sea, but the lack of organisation is leaving supporters with very little notice to arrange plans to attend these games.

Even the game up in Edinburgh is not going down well on Merseyside.

Everton are struggling to sell tickets for their Newcastle friendly after the ticket prices have been slammed for ripping off loyal supporters.

Another big summer is needed at Finch Farm when it comes to developing the club.

However, it has to be said that the early signs are not overly promising, with Everton failing to get the basics right through providing their fans with this information.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes on Merseyside as Everton are making big changes to their academy, as well as eyeing first-team improvements.

Potentially seeing the fixtures announced for next season before this summer’s pre-season is fully disclosed would not be the best look for the Friedkins.
