Everton are showing a real interest in signing Jack Grealish this summer from Manchester City.

David Moyes is now wanting to see some quality added to his squad after keeping the side he inherited in the Premier League.

Only one signing has been completed on Merseyside so far this summer after Everton retained Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal.

More additions will be on the way, with Moyes keen to add a new winger following the departures of Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom.

Everton are interested in signing Grealish as the 29-year-old’s future looks increasingly set to be away from Manchester City.

As the Blues have emerged as one of the frontrunners in the race to sign the winger, Rio Ferdinand has now urged the winger to make a specific move this summer.

Rio Ferdinand urges Jack Grealish to snub Everton for shock move

Simon Jordan has questioned Everton’s interest in Grealish after suggesting he is not a player Moyes would want at his club.

There will be some concerns considering Grealish’s drop off in form over recent months, which has him on the chopping block at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking on Rio Reacts, Ferdinand has urged Grealish to go put his feet up in Saudi Arabia.

“If I was him, you know where I’m going? Saudi Arabia,” said Ferdinand.

“If I’m Jack Grealish, I’m going Saudi. I’m getting my feet in the sand.

“The culture is very different, but I’m sure he’s a man who can adapt to a different culture. He’s still going to have holidays, he’ll still be able to go elsewhere.”

It is understood Grealish enjoys living in north west England and that could certainly play into Everton’s hopes of landing the winger.

Players who flee to Saudi Arabia are often criticised for a lack of ambition, yet here is Ferdinand urging Grealish to make the move.

This does come across as a really odd suggestion from Ferdinand who is essentially telling Grealish to end any hope of returning to the England squad.

Pep Guardiola has hinted at Grealish leaving on loan, with the winger potentially still having a future under the Spaniard.

Moving to Saudi would not achieve much for Grealish in a competitive sense.

Financially, of course, it would be a move which would certainly earn Grealish a fair penny; as if he isn’t already one of the top Premier League earners.

Peter Reid thinks Grealish would thrive at Everton, and it would be a move which would provide him with a platform to earn his England spot back.
