Everton are in desperate need of adding some further firepower to their attack this summer.
Despite enjoying a much improved run of form under David Moyes, there has still been plenty of issues on Merseyside.
Those issues were evident on Saturday in Everton’s defeat against Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola was impressed with Everton, but the Blues were unable to really show any attacking threat during the game.
Over the last two games, Moyes has handed an opportunity to Armando Broja to prove his worth in the starting XI.
The Albania international has been unable to do so and it has only highlighted Everton’s need for improvements over the summer.
Everton are prioritising a new striker in the summer, but they may now be looking back on one that got away.

Barcelona want to sign former Everton striker Moise Kean
Broja is expected to return to Chelsea when his loan deal comes to an end this summer.
There is a real lack of reliability in Everton’s current crop of strikers, which will surely have the club looking at players like Moise Kean who are proving their worth elsewhere.
According to Sport, Barcelona are now serious about potentially adding the Italian striker to their squad over the summer window.
The 25-year-old is believed to hold a €50m (£43m) release clause in his contract at Fiorentina, which a number of clubs are keen to activate.
But there is interest coming from across Europe, with Arsenal also interested in signing Kean as they look to bolster their attack.
Sean Dyche green-lit Kean’s exit from Merseyside back in 2023 after he returned from his loan spell with Juventus.
Having left the Toffees almost two years ago, Kean admitted he had no regrets about joining Everton and believes he developed from his experience in England.
How Everton would like him back up front now.
Kean has proven any Everton doubters wrong
It is not just Arsenal who are keen to bring the 25-year-old back to England this summer, with Newcastle United also interested in Kean.
The striker has enjoyed a stunning campaign with Fiorentina where he has already provided a return greater than he did in his entire stint on Merseyside.
| 2024/25 | Total |
| Appearances | 39 |

Kean is even impressing for Italy’s national side, with his domestic performances being recognised by Luciano Spalletti.
Everton have seen Beto show some promising signs this year, but his form has fallen off a cliff since February and led to him being dropped to the bench.
Moyes would surely love to have a player of Kean’s quality available to him for next season.
