Everton are still hoping to bring some further signings through the doors at Goodison Park this summer.

Around three weeks remain for Everton to conclude their business before the window shuts until January next year.

Sean Dyche will be pleased with the work done so far by Kevin Thelwell in the market with four signings added to his squad.

The groundwork has been done at Everton this summer and any further signings brought in could be seen as the icing on the cake.

And it seems as if there is only player who the Toffees would be really keen to bring to Merseyside this summer with Fabrizio Romano sharing an update on the player’s future.

Everton are interested in signing ‘exceptional’ midfielder this summer

Everton have already waved goodbye to Amadou Onana this summer departed for Aston Villa in a whopping £50m deal.

The Belgian has left a big hole to fill in the middle of the park despite the signing of Tim Iroegbunam.

Dyche will potentially see the midfield as an area which could still be improved given the magnitude of the departure earlier this summer.

And it now seems as if the Toffees have their eyes on a midfielder who would arrive at Goodison with a wealth of Premier League experience.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton are really interested in the possibility of signing Kalvin Phillips this summer.

“Kalvin Phillips, there is interest from Everton,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.

“Not only Everton but for Kalvin Phillips there could be movement I think in the next weeks because he is still expected to leave Manchester City.”

What pep Guardiola has said about Kalvin Phillips’ future

Thelwell is believed to be eyeing up a loan offer for Phillips to join Everton with three weeks remaining in the window.

Despite having been hailed as ‘exceptional‘ by Pep Guardiola in the past, Phillips has found himself struggling for game time over the last two years.

More recently, Guardiola has failed to confirm whether Phillips would be remaining at Manchester City this summer.

“I should have seen that [he can play in defence] before. His confidence is back. He is here with us, and we will see what happens [with regard to his future],” said Guardiola.
