Everton are already receiving interest in some of their players ahead of the summer transfer window.
Dealing with potential bids arriving for his players is not the preparation David Moyes would have had in mind.
But that is the reality Everton find themselves in and the Friedkins will be keen to keep their best players at the club.
One of the players receiving interest will be well known, with Manchester United one of the sides keen on Jarrad Branthwaite.
The club’s stance on Branthwaite could not be clearer.
Moyes has warned Man United away from Branthwaite, but the Toffees have more battles on their hands, with clubs lining up for one of their attacking weapons.

Beto to assess his Everton future in June
Despite becoming a regular under Moyes, Beto’s future on Merseyside is now coming under serious speculation.
Beto’s form has dropped recently as he has failed to score in any of his last five Premier League outings.
However, according to Rudy Galetti, the Portuguese striker is receiving interest from clubs across Europe’s top five leagues.
The striker has now seen clubs approach to receive some further information over his availability.
With clubs keen to sign the striker, the Italian journalist believes Beto will be making a decision in June when the transfer window opens.
In the Merseyside Derby earlier in the month, Beto embarrassed Virgil van Dijk but was unable to find the back of the net.
There may be mixed views on the prospect of the £25m signing potentially leaving as his good form is starting to look like it could have just been a purple patch.
What David Moyes has said about Beto’s improved form
Beto was ready to leave Everton in January with opportunities simply not being presented to him by Sean Dyche.
The interest has remained in the Portuguese forward after he had shown some really promising signs during his time at Udinese.
He has struggled for a lot of his time on Merseyside, but there have been some promising indications since Moyes arrived.
Chris Sutton thinks Beto looks like a £60m striker, and Moyes has also shared his own praise of his talisman.
“I think he is getting better, and we are beginning to understand him a bit more. I have got to say, he has done brilliantly well.”
