Everton are running out of time to find solutions to some of their contract debacles ahead of the summer.

David Moyes has not been willing to engage in contract talk amid the club’s ongoing battle against relegation.

However, over the last week or so there has been a change in mindset from the 61-year-old Everton boss.

The Scot has become a lot more relaxed over Everton’s Premier league status as Moyes has green lit his visit to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Although he has not been able to make a visit to Everton’s new stadium this week as he had hoped, there has been contract movement behind the scenes.

Everton fans want Idrissa Gana Gueye to be handed a new deal before the summer, and there has now been a breakthrough.

Everton to offer Idrissa Gana Gueye new contract

Speculation is rife on Merseyside, and Everton are keen to keep Jarrad Branthwaite amid the current links to the likes of Manchester United.

And it seems the Blues are looking to keep Gueye on Merseyside as there has now been a considerable development over his future.

According to one club insider, Everton are now set to offer Gueye a new deal ahead of the summer.

A decision now lies in the hands of the Senegal international, who is at risk of becoming a free agent in a matter of weeks’ time.

Moyes would love Gueye to sign a new deal after playing a huge role in the Scot’s midfield since he arrived back at the club in January.

Gueye has been instrumental all season even before Moyes returned, with Sean Dyche also getting a lot out of the 35-year-old.

This is the new Everton fans will have been hoping for and now they await his decision.

Everton are being selective over new contracts

Although this will be good news for Gueye, not many of Everton’s soon to be out-of-contract players will be receiving offers.

Everton are set to allow Abdoulaye Doucoure to leave the club as just one of the contract victims.

However, there are some players whose future remains a lot more uncertain.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been offered new contracts by the club, but the injured striker is yet to confirm his future at the club.

As the weeks go by and interest grows in his services, his future looks a lot less likely to be at Everton ahead of the new season.
