Considerable change has been made at Everton over the last month without too much changing on the pitch.
David Moyes’ return to Goodison Park was a baptism of fire on Wednesday night with the Toffees losing against Aston Villa.
Everton were forced into making a managerial change with results failing to improve under Sean Dyche.
After being sacked last week, Dyche has wished Moyes luck at Everton in a statement which he made just a couple days ago.
With things starting to settle down away from the pitch on Merseyside, Gary Lineker and Micah Richards have both been shocked by something they’ve experienced with the fans.

Gary Lineker shares backlash received from Everton fans
With one game under Moyes’ belt already, Richards has already questioned Everton’s sloppy play against Villa.
The Toffees could end this week inside the bottom three with just one point separating them and Ipswich Town in 18th.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker shared some of the backlash the trio – including Alan Shearer – have received for backing Dyche.
“We actually got a bit of stick on social media, because when Sean Dyche lost his job, and we did an episode, and we talked about it and they thought we were too light on him,” said Lineker.
“Really?” Richards replied in disbelief.
“It was the right time to get rid of him. And, you know, we said it’s a big gamble, because the chances are he might keep them up. But, I don’t know. I mean, I think part of it is you don’t kick a man when he’s down anyway, he’s lost his job,” added Lineker.
“But I think last season he did an amazing job to keep them up with the points deduction and everything else.”
Lineker and Shearer recently slammed Neal Maupay for his actions online against his parent club.
However, it seems their stance on Everton’s managerial change may not have gone down well with the fans.
Sean Dyche’s Everton record was not sustainable
Following the game on Wednesday, it is apparent Moyes suffered some of the same issues which Dyche did during his tenure.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to struggle in front of goal after missing a close-range opportunity to equalise late in the game.
But Dyche was unable to fix those problems up top and, as a result, his record left for dismal reading.
Moyes had only a few training sessions with his new side ahead of the game against Villa, so getting his methods across will have been near impossible.
But Everton go again this weekend against Tottenham Hotspur in a game which is very much winnable for the Blues.
