Craig Dawson is one of the many players David Moyes created a brilliant spell of form with, as the duo were unstoppable at West Ham.

Everton will be hoping Moyes can do the same with the current flock of players, as the Toffees boss is already working his magic.

This has been seen already with Jesper Lindstrom who has been excellent under Moyes.

Despite a quiet window with Carlos Alcaraz the only player to walk through the door at Goodison Park, Moyes could eye a reunion.

A reunion that could see Moyes link up with Dawson once again, as the defender could be set to leave Wolves.

Craig Dawson’s contract situation at Wolves revealed

Dawson has already proven to be a major help to Everton this season, as the defender scored two own goals in Everton’s 4-0 victory against Wolves in December.

Sean Dyche was proud of the Everton players after the win, but that would turn out to be the former Toffees boss’ last victory in charge.

No doubt Moyes’ predecessor will remember Dawson now as the main subject from his final win, as the 34-year-old’s future has been revealed.

According to The Athletic, Dawson is in talks with the club about a possible termination of his contract, as Wolves head coach Vitor Pereira, believes he doesn’t align with his plans anymore.

Pereira confirmed in Friday’s pre-match press conference that he will be unable to find room for Dawson as his future in the midlands looks bleak.

The chances of Craig Dawson joining David Moyes at Everton

Moyes will no doubt be monitoring Dawson’s situation after their success at West Ham.

A centre-back doesn’t seem a priority as Everton are looking into three other positions, but Moyes could find Dawson as a strong squad option.

This won’t be until the summer however, as the report stated above suggests that options are limited for Dawson, as he was registered with Wolves when the window closed on Monday, so he would be unable to sign for another English club until the summer window.

But, this shouldn’t rule out anything, as Moyes can plan ahead.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference at West Ham before facing Wolves in December 2023, Moyes suggested Dawson was a ‘huge part’ in the Hammers’ recent success.

He’s clearly a big admirer, but the main factor on why Everton should pounce is Dawson’s ability from set-pieces.

Moyes said Everton need to improve set-pieces, and what better way with the signing of Dawson in the summer.

With plenty of time left until the summer, this will give Moyes ample opportunity to convince Dawson of his Everton project.
