Everton’s summer window is now in full swing, but David Moyes will be pushing for more new faces to come through the door.

The summer is racing by, with Everton set to board their flight to the United States next week for their pre-season tour.

Moyes has one final friendly on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park before his players get their bags packed for the Summer Series.

Thierno Barry did not play against Accrington Stanley, but fans will be hoping to see the Frenchman join up with his new side in the coming days.

Three signings have been made this summer. However, Moyes wants more signings to be made ahead of the new season starting.

Everton make James McAtee their top summer target

Everton have been showing interest in James McAtee, who looks set to depart Manchester City this summer.

McAtee visited Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this week, but the midfielder left without a deal.

According to the Independent, Everton have now placed McAtee at the very top of their transfer wishlist.

With Everton keen to add some creative spark following the signing of Barry, this will come as music to the ears of fans on Merseyside.

The report also shares interest coming from Nottingham Forest as well as the likes of Frankfurt in Germany.

McAtee is ready to leave Man City this summer in search of a club that could provide him with more regular minutes.

Everton could certainly be that club, and a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium would offer him the opportunity to remain in the north west.

Everton’s long-term project could attract McAtee

This summer, Everton are hoping their new stadium attracts players to join the club.

The Toffees are looking to make some big strides this summer in the bid to improve and pull away from another relegation scrap.

Ironically, Everton are also eyeing a deal for Jack Grealish; a double deal for Grealish and McAtee is certainly something that would excite fans.

Nottingham Forest would be able to offer McAtee European football for next season, but major questions will be asked about the Reds.

With Morgan Gibbs-White pushing for the exit door, and Anthony Elanga already gone, there are clearly some concerns that Forest’s 2024/25 season will not be sustained.
