Everton’s squad is expected to undergo major surgery in the transfer market.

The Friedkin Group will back David Moyes with a substantial budget this summer, with the aim of returning Everton to their past glories.

The American investors have lofty ambitions and are desperate to right the wrongs of Farhad Moshiri’s tenure.

As such, Everton’s recruitment team is set for big change, with CEO Angus Kinnear joining from Leeds United.

Highly-rated Leeds scout Nick Hammond is also joining Everton, and the work of identifying targets is already well underway.

With that said, it’s just emerged that the Toffees are eyeing a Champions League finalist.

Everton eye Inter Milan defender Yan Bisseck

Inter Milan have been the surprise package in the UEFA Champions League this season as they’ve reached the final, beating Barcelona in the semis.

Yan Bisseck has been a key part of their success, forming a terrific partnership with Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni at the back.

Now, according to Rudy Galleti, Everton are interested in signing the Inter centre-back this summer and it’s thought the Italian giants could sanction his sale for the right price.

The Toffees aren’t alone in their interest, however, as Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Bournemouth are all keeping tabs on his situation.

Inter will only sell Bisseck after Club World Cup

Moyes has made it clear that he’d like a new centre-back, with Michael Keane one of many departures this summer.

Bisseck appears to be at the top of his shortlist and it could materialise if Everton agree to pay his £34m price tag.

Although, Inter will only allow Bisseck to leave once the Club World Cup has concluded, which runs from June 14th to July 13th.

Everton are also interested in signing Maxime Esteve, who Moyes has personally scouted over the last couple of months.
