Everton will be needing to make some moves in the summer transfer window with big player turnover expected.

The Friedkins were unable to really show Everton fans what they can provide over the January transfer market due to the club’s restrictions.

David Moyes was surprised by PSR’s hold on Everton over the January window with just one loan deal agreed.

However, there will be a hope that more is going to be done in the summer to combat the expected departures due to contracts expiring.

Kevin Thelwell is expecting a busy summer for Everton and there is already one European side who are growing wary of the Toffees’ interest in one of their players.

Sevilla aware of Everton’s interest in Juanlu Sanchez

Everton are showing an interest in Sevilla defender Juanlu Sanchez ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Toffees are in need of right-back cover with Jake O’Brien currently playing out of position under Moyes.

According to Orgullo Biri, Sevilla are looking to fend off any interest coming from Merseyside by offering the defender a new deal.

Everton are not believed to be the only side looking to make a move for Sanchez, with other European outfits monitoring him closely.

With his current deal set to expire in 2026, it is believed Sevilla want to extend his contract until at least 2029 and include a €20m (£16m) release clause.

Moyes was keen for Everton to sign a new full-back in January, and it is claimed the Toffees are prepared to make a significant offer for Sanchez.

Sanchez hailed ‘incredible’ by Sevilla manager

It is not just at right-back where Everton will need to bring in a new player with left-back also needing some competition for Vitaliy Mykolenko.

O’Brien has really impressed for Everton at right-back since being handed the opportunity under Moyes.

But new faces are going to be needed with Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young both looking set to leave the club at the end of their current deals.

Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta recently labelled Sanchez as ‘incredible’ in a post-match press conference.

“I spoke to him, I knew he could do well in that position. Juanlu has an incredible present and a better future,” he said after Sanchez played in midfielder for a game.
