Everton will be on the hunt for some midfielder additions over the summer transfer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Lille midfielder Angel Gomes has just changed his agents with a summer move on the cards.

The England international – like many Everton players – is set to become a free agent at the end of the campaign.

Everton are one of the clubs eyeing Gomes, with the midfielder attracting a lot of interest from clubs across the Premier League.

With Everton in need of some midfield recruits over ahead of the 2025/26 season, this will certainly be a development of interest to those on Merseyside.

Kevin Thelwell needs to act on Gomes’ availability

Gomes was keen to remain at Lille in the January window as he wanted to assess his options as. afree agent this summer.

This is an opportunity for The Friedkin Group to really show they mean business in what will be their first real transfer window.

Everton were hamstrung by PSR in January, and funds were not readily available.

Whether Thelwell is going to remain at Everton for the summer window is another question needing to be answered, but he should really be looking into early discussions with Gomes.
