Jarrad Branthwaite’s situation at Everton is a good one right now; it’s just the pressure from other clubs on the transfer front that is making things uncomfortable for fans.

Everton fans haven’t actually seen too much of Jarrad Branthwaite so far this season, as he’s suffered from a number of injuries and still isn’t 100% now.

The English defender has two starts to his name this season, in which Everton have secured four points.

Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United all want Branthwaite, which has led to the Toffees weighing up a new deal for the youngster.

However, it’s not just a new deal that Dan Friedkin has up his sleeve when it comes to trying to persuade Branthwaite to stay, as there are a couple of promises he could make.

Dan Friedkin to make promise to Jarrad Branthwaite at Everton

Speaking exclusively to Everton News, Graeme Bailey has said that Dan Friedkin wants to keep him until the summer and then try and persuade him to stay with the promise of new signings and a new project.

“It’s obviously an ongoing situation around him and the Manchester United talk is not going away. They still do like him but there are others interested.

“Everton would like to sign him down to a new deal, he’s an England international now and one of the most highly regarded defenders in Europe isn’t he really.

“So yeah, that’s where we’re at now with Branthwaite. It’s very highly unlikely he’ll go in January, but as we get into 2025 closer to the summer, it obviously forces Everton’s hand.

“Dan Friedkin I think would like to keep him until the summer and maybe persuade him to stay, with the new project and the promise of new signings.

“Almost certainly a new manager, a change of stadium, so you never know. It’s an interesting one, and I don’t think it’ll be a massive surprise for Everton fans when you’ve got the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and even Liverpool in the race, it’s very hard not to have your head turned.”

How much could Jarrad Branthwaite fetch?

It’s vitally important that Everton get as much as possible for Jarrad Branthwaite, should he leave.

A January exit seems very unlikely, as teams may not have the funds to spend huge amounts of money, given the current state of PSR in England.

This could play into Everton’s hands, as the summer will see the arrival of the new stadium, a new manager, and potentially many new signings under the Friedkin Group.

Iliman Ndiaye has already said that the new stadium is making everyone excited behind the scenes at Everton, so perhaps it will have more power than we think.

It’s been claimed that Branthwaite could fetch £70m-£80m.
