As rumours continue to swirl around Sean Dyche’s future, many Everton fans have been deciding who they would like to see as his successor.
Despite Graham Potter having heavy links to Everton, the former Chelsea manager has opted for the West Ham job.
With Potter being the leading candidate, Evertonians have now turned their attention to other managers who could arise to the job opportunity if it becomes available.
Dyche is still seemingly on thin ice but the Friedkins are willing to give Dyche time to prove his worth as Everton boss.
Jose Mourinho is someone who Everton fans would ‘love’ but a new candidate has emerged.

Everton fans want Edin Terzic to potentially succeed Sean Dyche
The Everton faithful have found a new alternative to Mourinho who has been linked to Goodison Park in the past.
With Dyche’s uncertainty coming to fruition in November, Everton made a three-man shortlist including Edin Terzic.
This has now reignited Everton fans’ wishes to acquire the former Borussia Dortmund manager if Dyche were to depart soon.
An Everton fan added: “I really rate him, he did brilliantly at Dortmund, fans loved him and gave everyone a lift. Tactically very astute.”
One fan wrote: “I would love this! But never see it happening,” whilst another added: “We’d be playing footy that’s out of this world under him!”
Another Everton fan said: “Would be my choice to for a fresh new approach but not sure have approached him.”
Terzic can bring a fresh approach to Everton
The 42-year-old tactician was instrumental for Dortmund in getting the Bundesliga side to the Champions League final last season.
Terzic decided to leave Dortmund in the summer, which now leads him to his next venture, which could end up being in the Premier League with Everton.
Many have questioned Dyche’s tactical approach with Jamie Carragher labelling Everton as a ‘1990’s team’ which could open the door for Terzic to bring fresh ideas to the table.
Terzic revolutionised a Dortmund side which showed plenty of positives both in attack and defence, as they dominated the Champions League scene.
| Edin Terzic’s Dortmund statistics in the 2023/24 Champions League season (ranked out of 32) | |
| Clean sheets | 6 (1st) |
| Goals conceded per match | 0.8 (3rd) |
| Expected goals (xG) | 17.3 (6th) |
| Big chances created | 27 (6th) |
| Touches in opposition box | 305 (6th) |
This could be a key move for Everton as Terzic won’t only stick to Everton’s defensive principles but also provide in attack which Dyche has lacked this season.
