After a turbulent first season on Merseyside, Everton may have the opportunity to cash in on Thierno Barry this summer.

There is an understanding that Everton are considering a new striker in this summer’s transfer market.

David Moyes struggled to nail down his starting striker over the course of the 2025/26 campaign on Merseyside.

Having signed Barry for a fee in the region of £30m, the 23-year-old striker provided a return of eight Premier League goals.

Don’t hold back, let us know who you want gone this summer 👋

RB Leipzig are showing an interest in Barry, which could hand the Blues an opportunity to cash in and try their chances with another striker.

Everton News has taken a look at three potential alternatives for Angus Kinnear to consider this summer.

Gabriel Jesus

Everton have shown an interest in Gabriel Jesus ahead of the transfer market opening for business.

The Brazilian endured a difficult year in north London, with a serious knee injury keeping him out for the first half of the 2025/26 campaign.

Although his return of three goals in 14 Premier League appearances may not seem overly impressive, it must be remembered the quality this striker holds.

Jesus has scored 79 Premier League goals and provided 45 assists, but it is clear that his injury record could prove the sticking factor.

With only one year remaining on his contract, it has been suggested Arsenal want £20m to sell Jesus this summer.

Considering Liam Delap is being valued at £40m by Chelsea this feels like a huge opportunity for Everton to add proven Premier League quality to their squad.

Troy Parrott

This is one that may divide the Everton supporters as it would be another punt at a striker who has not proven himself in England.

Everton News understands that Everton have scouted Parrott throughout the 2025/26 campaign for both club and country.

Parrott enjoyed a sensational season with AZ Alkmaar having scored 31 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances.

Interestingly, Parrott has suggested he’d be open to a move this summer following a two-year stint with AZ.

This would perhaps be on the riskier side for Kinnear, but the striker’s upside could prove extremely inviting for those on Merseyside.

Nicolas Jackson

The unfortunate reality is Everton are shopping in a striker market that is not particularly impressive.

Amid reports of interest in Delap, Everton could perhaps go one better by landing his Chelsea teammate Nicolas Jackson.

Everton have shown an interest in Jackson already after asking about his loan status with Bayern Munich in January.

The Senegal international is yet to score at this summer’s World Cup, but he has proven himself in the Premier League.

In his 65 appearances for Chelsea, Jackson has returned 24 Premier League goals and provided 10 assists.

It has been suggested that Jackson wants to fight for his place at Chelsea, but the prospect of guaranteed football at Everton could prove enticing.
