Everton’s pursuit of Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling took yet another turn on Thursday evening.
The Toffees are going flat out to provide David Moyes with some new signings ahead of their opening game against Leeds United.
Moyes is keen for Everton to sign a new winger, and he has been pushing for that position to be bolstered since he returned to the club.
Just over one week remains for Everton to get any new faces through the door ahead of their game against Leeds United.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s signing proved a straightforward transaction between the Toffees and Chelsea.
The same cannot be said about Everton’s interest in Dibling from Southampton, though.
However, Everton were handed some further optimism that a deal could be done on Thursday evening.

Southampton CEO says Tyler Dibling is for sale amid Everton interest
Everton have had three bids rejected for the young winger, with Southampton valuing Dibling at a huge £50m.
As a result, the Toffees walked away from any potential deal, but the door has just been opened again by one Southampton chief.
Speaking at a fan forum, Southampton CEO Phil Parsons admitted that every player has his price to be sold this summer.
“There is a price for every player, we are not a club that’s going to roll over and just accept a bid because they feel like they want him on the cheap, if you want a player bid for them and bid well,” he said.
Obviously, Everton will not expect the Saints to accept a lowball offer for their brightest young talent.
However, there will have to be some negotiations made if Dibling is to leave this summer, as Everton will not be paying £50m.
Dibling has now requested to leave Southampton, after the club has made him train alone as the transfer saga unfolds.
Some interesting weeks lie ahead, but Everton will be hoping to find a quick resolution after already making three substantial bids.

Everton must either land Dibling or sign someone else
Heading into the new season without either of last year’s starting right wingers is a real blow for the Everton boss.
Moyes wanted more from Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom, but to not have a new right winger at the club will frustrate the Scot.
Now, it is time for Angus Kinnear to really get to work and find Moyes a new winger in time for the game against Leeds at Elland Road.
Dibling is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, as the Premier League sides monitor his situation.
Everton know they are going to have to cough up big to sign Dibling, but they need to decide whether there are better options out there for the money.
Otherwise, Moyes will be keen to see them really push on and land the 19-year-old for the start of the season.
