Everton are still yet to make their final decision on Tyrique George’s buy option.

After spending the second half of the season at Everton, the Blues hold the opportunity to make George’s loan deal from Chelsea permanent.

The summer window may be young, but David Moyes is still awaiting his first signing on Merseyside.

Harry Wilson to Leeds United could spark Tyrique George return at Everton

There is an understanding that Everton are interested in Wilson as his time at Fulham is set to come to an end over the coming days.

Playing in the same position as George, it is likely Everton would only be looking to sign one of the two wingers.

Reporter Ben Jacobs has suggested that Leeds are now exploring a deal for Wilson, with a number of clubs still holding an interest.

How do you feel about Moyes’ treatment of Tyrique George? 🫣

There was no mention of Everton in his update, which may well suggest the Blues are focusing elsewhere in the market.

George has interest from numerous clubs this summer and that is piling the pressure on Everton to make their decision.

The fact that Everton have not already activated George’s buy option would suggest that serious consideration is going into it from the Toffees.

Despite already agreeing on a fee with Chelsea, it is claimed Everton want to renegotiate terms for George’s permanent signing.

The issue Everton may have is Chelsea have interest from other clubs and Moyes did not exactly utilise George during his loan stint.

A lack of football on Merseyside for the youngster may well work against Everton in the negotiations over a return for the 2026/27 term.

The reality is the clock is ticking but a lack of other action in the market could well suggest that the focus remains on George.
