Everton are working on any late opportunities that present themselves in the final hours of the summer market.

Following the opening day defeat against Leeds United, Everton have bounced back well with back-to-back victories across all competitions.

David Moyes is pleased with Everton’s transfer activity after landing players like Tyler Dibling and Jack Grealish.

However, no Premier League manager will reject the opportunity to add more to their squad before the window shuts.

There is a strong belief that Everton are looking to add another midfielder ahead of Monday.

Harrison Armstrong is expected to leave Everton on loan, with Preston North End being strongly linked with a move.

Late moves could unfold on Merseyside, and Moyes has already made one clear demand to The Friedkin Group.

David Moyes wants Everton to sign Premier League midfielder

Everton are showing an interest in Tomas Soucek, with the 62-year-old manager keen to reunite with his former player.

There is a clear profile set out by Moyes to the Everton recruitment team over what type of player he would like to see land at Finch Farm.

According to the Liverpool Echo, ‘Moyes is keen’ to add a midfielder with Premier League experience to his name.

A ‘big focus’ has been placed on landing a new central midfielder, and the report backs up the notion that Soucek is of interest.

However, Josh Brownhill has been discounted as a late target for Everton. It is believed Brownhill is considering a big offer from Saudi Arabia.

There are a number of options on the radar at Finch Farm, with Everton also showing interest in Yves Bissouma of Tottenham Hotspur.

The clock is certainly against the Toffees, but Moyes is unwilling to sanction Armstrong’s loan exit unless he sees a new face come through the doors.

Everton have already added a lot of Premier League experience

With plenty of players departing the club at the start of the summer, it has naturally seen a lot of new faces land on Merseyside.

There has been a lot of activity in recent weeks, with Everton signing Grealish, Dibling and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall since returning from their United States tour.

Everton fans have waxed lyrical about Dewsbury-Hall, who has slotted straight into Moyes’ starting XI at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Adding a lot of Premier League experience will help the likes of Dibling settle in and develop.

Already, Dibling has admitted he’s excited to play alongside Grealish, who could act as a mentor to the promising young talent.
