Everton are in the market for any late opportunities with mere hours remaining before the window shuts.

It has certainly been a busy window for those at Everton, with huge changes made both on and off the pitch on Merseyside.

David Moyes will be pushing for as many new signings as he can get before the window closes at 7pm.

Just last week, Moyes admitted more arrivals could be sanctioned in the final days of the market.

On Friday morning, Everton News shared information of Everton eyeing defensive additions amid the interest in the midfielder Merlin Rohl.

Injuries have already plagued Everton’s backline in the very early stages of this summer’s window.

It has been reported that Everton are keen on Nathan Ake of Manchester City, and Alan Myers has now shared his latest understanding on the matter.

Alan Myers shares Nathan Ake to Everton update

Everton fans have been excited about links to Ake, with his Man City future coming under real speculation in recent weeks.

The Toffees have already taken Jack Grealish from City, who is already looking like a roaring success on Merseyside.

Speaking live on Sky Sports on Monday afternoon, the Everton News columnist, Myers, has shut down any talk of a potential late move for Ake.

“There’s been a lot of talk about Nathan Ake. As far as I’m told there’s nothing happening on that one at the moment that’s from both Manchester and [Everton] sources,” he said.

“A thing to remember on that one, with Jack Grealish on loan, that would have to be a permanent deal.”

Everton are looking at Kellen Fisher as a potential right-back option, despite Nathan Patterson’s possible exit being scrapped.

The final hours of the window will see some potential late deals on Merseyside go right down to the wire.

Everton’s transfer window has been mightily impressive

This summer was always going to be a testing one for Everton, and it certainly took them a while to get going.

Moyes demanded nine or 10 signings from the Everton owners.

During the pre-season tour of the United States, Moyes admitted Everton’s squad was not ready to compete in the Premier League.

Fast forward a few weeks and the work done in the market has certainly picked up to a point where the Toffees have taken six points from a possible nine.

Grealish has seriously impressed in an Everton shirt, having already picked up four assists in his first three Premier League appearances.

More additions look likely in these final hours, and they will be the cherry on top of the cake for the Blues.
